Love on the Run
Recently I was asked by a friend to design a cover to a book they wrote (her name is not Elizabeth Cole, if you are wondering). The story is a romance/mystery/suspense novel of sorts that takes place in the midwestern/desert. I tried going for a woodcut effect with this drawing...

I think I actually like the black and white version better...as much as I love me some color! The second one has a mystery to it, an "unknowing" sense about it.
yeah i like that one better too! i like how the black and white alternate between foreground and background...i think its more subtle and successful.
