He'll do the red white and blue just for you.

way back when...

I was looking through some of my older work and re-discovered these two posters I did back in junior year. I TOTALLY forgot about these - but looking back, I can see that stuff I'm discovering now as an artist always existed within me. Even when I look through even older sketchbooks I find the same thing. It's amazing how we come back to the same things we did as children.

Furni Skateboard

A skateboard I painted for Furni. They are organizing a show of painted skateboards by artists all over the place - which will travel across Canada. After the show - all skateboards will be donated to children in need (of skateboards, haha) :)

Lots O Updates

Three recent projects:

1) Record album design for a local radio station. The concept was really interesting - over 100 "locked groove" tracks - which are essentially short sound clips used by djs and radio station jockeys. They repeat on themselves forever and ever - until changed.

2) Cover for Seattle's The Stranger

3) An illustration for an alumni magazine for Carleton College - this particular alumni travels on rock tour buses as a sort of production manager. It sounded both exciting and fun/tiring and stressful.

I want

This one should speak for itself. Hope no one gets offended :)

Killed Ideas Vol. 1

This image below was selected to be published in "Killed Ideas: Vol. 1" - a collection of images and designs that were "killed" by the clients. This was an illustration I did for a magazine about the funds being cut for many arts programs. They ended up going with a much more literal interpretation.
Take some time and vote for my image so it can with the People's Choice Award :)

Last Friday was the opening night for a show of gigposters at the Civilian Arts Project called PAPER JAM. Some of my posters were shown along with many other talented artists along the East Coast. Here is a review by the Washington Examiner, along with picture of one of my posters.

RIP Nickelodeon Magazine

Truly, this is a sad day in the history of print, humor, and mankind.
I wish there was someway to reverse this.
