Depression

I recently did this piece for the Globe & Mail on a write up about depression. In the wake of the two suicides of Canadian hockey players, the writer spoke of her own experience with depression and how it should be taken seriously as a real disease and not viewed as a sign of weakness. Creating artwork for a specific subject matter or piece of written work has always been a challenge for me. You did a great job, as always. I love the yellow in it. It's one of those colors that can serve two completely different moods/purposes.

thanks roni! yeah this one was an interesting one for me...i feel like i learn something new each time i have to read an editorial piece for an illustration...and somehow it always relates to my life.
