LA Times Book Review
A piece for the LA Times Book Review this past Sunday. The book is called "Orange Is the New Black" by Piper Kerman, a middle class white woman who ended up in jail for a crime she committed long ago. The book chronicles her experience in a minimum security prison - and how it wasn't all that bad!

Extrapool
I was asked by the folks at Extrapool to create this piece for a promotional flyer they would be sending out. The only requirement was that it be two colors. I really enjoyed working with this restriction and playing around with textures that were both additive and subtractive. It's something I definitely want to experiment with more.

NY Times OP-ED
This small illustration appears today in the NY Times OP-ED section! It accompanies letters that are in response to an article concerning the growing college wait list. Some letters took the side of the students while others defended the university while others suggested applying to less prestigious schools. But the overall theme of these letters was one of anxiety - and that is what I focused on in this illustration.

Show Us Your Scout Book
Recently I was asked by Scout Books to contribute to their online project "Show Us Your Scout Book". They sent me a couple of their small pocket sized sketchbooks and then I filled them up! Some of the pages are below, but more can be seen at their blog: CLICK HERE TO SEE!!!!!!!!
