Here's a portrat I completed today and a series of quick gestured men I drew a while back. I did them really quickly and I like how they look side by side. I'm trying to think of a way to finish them in a less sketchy way, but keep all the energy of the original drawings.

Maid Marian Muffins
Finally I can reveal a large project I've been working on for the past several months!! I illustrated a children's book that was just released on the iPad and will soon be released on the iPhone and iPod Touch. The story is a true life story about a young woman's search for the perfect blueberry muffin in Brooklyn. Check out the first five pages below, and if you have an iPad, you can purchase the book for only $2.99 here. I'll post again when you can buy it for the iPhone & iPod!
Enjoy!!!
Enjoy!!!

Wonder Woman
This illustration is a spread in an upcoming issues of a French skateboarding magazine. This particular issue is about woman skateboarders so I was asked to create an image that would feature a woman and relate to skate culture.
I was also interviewed in the magazine so that will appear along with this illustration! I'll post again when thats up and ready to read.

craziness!
This week I've been working at an ad agency and my hours have been crazy!! Trying to juggle my freelance work and this job has been intense, but I'm doing it. Next week though my regular schedule resumes, and I'm ready for it.
This quick little drawing I did tonight with some left over ink. It's pretty much how I feel right now!
I'll be posting more soon.

This is a spring-themed collection of vector illustrations I created for Actual Objects that will be available for purchase in a little while. Basically its a website that sells royalty free illustrations aka stock illustration...but the quality is pretty good.

Threadless, again!
So, I'm giving this threadless thing another try! Don't know how this one will turn out, but these are some superhero drawings from my childhood. I think they'd make a cute t-shirt.

Coffeeshop Posters!
I completed theses four posters/advertisements for a coffeeshop in Jersey City. They are selling a new brand of coffee and wanted me to create fun posters that would describe each one to their customers.
I scanned some new textures into my computer for this project, and I'm very happy with how they came out!

Italy
I am back from my trip to Italy and have some sketches to show for it. These are in chronological order.
This is a view of Trajan's Column and some of the surrounding buildings in Rome. It was a rainy grey day so I did this one pretty quickly and under an umbrella.
My favorite piazza in Rome, Piazza Navona. This is one of the three beautiful fountains. I drew this as enjoying a caffe latte.
This was in a neighborhood called Monti in Rome. We were on a search for crepes but didn't have much luck, so we ended up in this cute little cafe. The owner didn't speak much English but asked if he could buy this and hang it in his shop, haha.
In the Colloseum, Rome, looking out at the whole arena. The day was hot and very sunny. I was sitting on steps next to a lady who spoke Danish.
My first of two drawings of Michelangelo's David in the Accademia, Florence. This along with the Birth of Venus by Botticelli were my favorite artwork to see in person.
David number two, different angle.
Sitting in an amazing little piazza in Florence near the Uffizi. There were at least 10 sculptures under an awning, so I sat down and drew one of them. Of course I pick the one with the horsie. :)
During our one day in Venice we stopped at this restaurant to escape the cold. I ordered one of my favorite dishes of the trip, spagetti with ink sauce and cuttlefish.
On our last day in Rome we sat in on the steps of a church in the Piazza di Popolo and I drew an accordian player who played some amazing classical pieces. When we walked through the piazza four hours later he was still playing!

Personal Work
My updates here haven't been as frequent as usual, so I apologize to the people out there who check out my blog. I just finished moving and am about to go on an amazing trip to Italy, which has been a dream of mine for a long time now! I can't even imagine that I am about to see artwork in person that I have been studying for years in art history! I'm excited because I feel like this trip might revitalize me as an artist, I've been feeling a little out of it recently and I think this is just what I need.
I won't be gone long, but I wanted to leave you with two pieces I just completed for myself. Magic mole I am actually turning into my next promotion card - I think it is simple and iconic and good for something like that. The other was inspired one night when I was driving home and it was raining...the lighting was interesting and I just wanted to capture that.
Anyways, I am taking a sketchbook with me so I will be sure to post up some of my drawings once I'm back! See you all soon!

CUNY - Calandra Institute
I designed a poster and brochure for the Calandra Italian American Institute, part of CUNY Queens College. They are having an upcoming symposium on independent music in Italian America and they wanted a more hand-drawn/grungy look to the promotions than their usual corporate clean look. Below is the poster and brochure (seen flat from both sides).

childhood drawings
As I go through all my belongings and pack and get ready to move I keep finding old artwork and old photos that I forgot even existed. I found an entire folder of my childhood drawings and quickly looked through them and found these horse portraits. It's crazy, I guess I'm still drawing the same things and nothing much has changed.
