Comics editor of Nick Mag, Chris Duffy, started this little blog also known as "The July 4th Project". I'm assuming it will continue to exist after July 4th...but who knows! Anyways, I contributed this american hero - THE ALL AMERICAN LOVER BOY!!
He'll do the red white and blue just for you.
Check out Chris's blog HERE.

way back when...
I was looking through some of my older work and re-discovered these two posters I did back in junior year. I TOTALLY forgot about these - but looking back, I can see that stuff I'm discovering now as an artist always existed within me. Even when I look through even older sketchbooks I find the same thing. It's amazing how we come back to the same things we did as children.

Lots O Updates
Three recent projects:
1) Record album design for a local radio station. The concept was really interesting - over 100 "locked groove" tracks - which are essentially short sound clips used by djs and radio station jockeys. They repeat on themselves forever and ever - until changed.
2) Cover for Seattle's The Stranger
3) An illustration for an alumni magazine for Carleton College - this particular alumni travels on rock tour buses as a sort of production manager. It sounded both exciting and fun/tiring and stressful.

Killed Ideas Vol. 1
This image below was selected to be published in "Killed Ideas: Vol. 1" - a collection of images and designs that were "killed" by the clients. This was an illustration I did for a magazine about the funds being cut for many arts programs. They ended up going with a much more literal interpretation.
Take some time and vote for my image so it can with the People's Choice Award :)

Civilian Arts Project - PAPER JAM
Last Friday was the opening night for a show of gigposters at the Civilian Arts Project called PAPER JAM. Some of my posters were shown along with many other talented artists along the East Coast. Here is a review by the Washington Examiner, along with picture of one of my posters.
