The Gay Chef

So, I illustrated this short fictional story for a literary magazine about a gay chef who built his fame and reputation and public persona around his gayness. When, in truth, he was actually straight - and he ends up falling in love with another woman (who ends up being a lesbian). Oh, what a world we live in!

As far as the two spot illustrations - my initial idea was the eggs and sausage/bacon, because i thought it was symbolic of the two different sexes. But the author really wanted the dish to be one of the ones mentioned in the story - so i ended up drawing lamb shank potatoes and string beans. I'm still a fan of my first drawing, but thats how things go sometimes.

the JOHN BLOG

I created this image for my friend (and artistic muse, haha) - John. He told me he wanted to start his own blog, so I was very excited to help him out a little by creating this header/logo image. He really is that muscular!!!!! :)

t shirt + tea towels

An Australian company (yes, i guess there has been an Australian theme going on with me recently) - contacted me a little while ago to produce a graphic for a line of t shirts as well as a series of tea towels. They saw the cupcake drawing I did a long time ago in my sketchbook section and asked for me to create 2 accompanying pieces. I forgot how much fun I had drawing food!

So, if you haven't figured it out by now, the bird is for the t-shirt and the recipes are for the tea towels! I will be sure to post a link when these are available for purchase.

The Ravenous

I recently completed this poster for an Australian band called THE RAVENOUS. They were so easy to work with and their music is pretty awesome, so definitely check it out!

And if you happen to be in Australia...go to their EP Launch, haha.
